Xact Data Discovery (XDD), a leading international provider of e-discovery and data management services for law firms, corporations and government agencies, announces its recent move to a Tier 4 data center in Carrollton, Texas.

The new state-of-the-art CyrusOne data center is the largest data center in the state and one of the most efficient in the country. The move features significant technology upgrades and includes enhanced infrastructure, bandwidth and security to support XDD’s continued growth in e-discovery services.

XDD’s investment in a Tier 4 data center further demonstrates the company’s commitment to client service and data security. At an impressive 670,000 square feet, the SSAE 16 (SOC I type II), PCI DSS (sec 9 & 12), HIPAA, ISO 27001, FISMA, TIA 942 Class 4 data center is large enough to hold the equivalent of 15 space shuttles, six 747s, four football fields and two Washington Monuments. Security measures at the new center include 24 hours/day, 365 days/year on-site security guards, video surveillance and recording, remote hands support and a dedicated cage with biometric and badge entry. In addition, the reinforced physical structure with concrete bollards, steel-lined walls, bullet-resistant glass and a Very Early Smoke Detection Apparatus (VESDA) system sampling air in parts per million coupled with a zonal dual-action interlocking dry-pipe system create another layer of security. The location has a flood zone rating of Zone X (low risk) and seismic zone rating of Zone 0 (lowest risk). 

This impressive framework promotes an expected availability of 99.995 percent, the result of fault-tolerant infrastructure with electrical power storage and distribution, as well as independently dual-powered cooling systems. The center also houses the infrastructure and 911 dispatch center for four cities in North Dallas. 

The data center upgrades provide EMC, Hitachi and Nimble storage systems with 4.8 petabytes of capacity, representing a 10x increase in performance capability to further enhance XDD’s growing Relativity hosting business. The company, an Orange-Level Best in Service kCura certified provider running Relativity 9.1, is among a select number of providers offering multi-tenancy. XDD can serve multiple Enterprise customers in a single Relativity deployment.
