Experienced executive to join leading consultancy focused on comprehensive law firm service delivery
Fireman & Company, a leading management consulting firm for law firms and corporate legal departments, announced today its newest Partner, Tom Baldwin. Baldwin is a globally recognized thought leader and innovator in practice and knowledge management (KM).
He previously served as CIO or CKO for leading Am Law 100 firms Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft LLP; Reed Smith LLP; and Sheppard, Mullin, Richter, & Hampton LLP.
Baldwin adds his expertise to Fireman & Company’s growing service delivery optimization practice, which focuses on boosting law firm differentiation and profitability. He will lead KM, pricing, legal project management (LPM) and process improvement engagements.
Throughout his 20+ year career, Baldwin has built and led teams that have improved law firm efficiency and profitability. His track record is one of proven successes, helping firms win profitable work and differentiate themselves from their competition.
Baldwin, who received his B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Southern California, has served on several industry advisory boards and regularly presents at and chairs international and domestic conferences on emerging legal market trends. In 2013, he was named in the inaugural National Law Journal “50 Business of Law Trailblazers & Pioneers”. In January 2016, under the guidance of Baldwin and his team, Cadwalader became the first US law firm to win the prestigious Nielsen Norman Group Intranet Design Annual Award.

Baldwin will begin work from New York City as of March 7th and plans a move back to California this summer to help bolster the Fireman & Company’s West Coast presence.
