Catalyst Launches Integrated Managed Review Service

As review costs in e-discovery continue to rise, corporations and their counsel can no longer afford to draw a line between review management and review technology. Recognizing this, Catalyst is today launching Catalyst Managed Review, a service that combines the best of both managed review and review technology in a single-vendor, integrated package. With Catalyst Managed Review, clients get Catalyst’s award-winning search, analytics and review platform, Catalyst Insight, backed by experienced review managers and Insight-trained reviewers, so that their review team and their review technology work together seamlessly.

Catalyst Managed Review services include review management, review staffing and multi-language review. Directly and through its review partner network, Catalyst can staff any size and type of review, in both the U.S. and Asia. Catalyst’s review managers are experts at integrating Catalyst’s industry-leading predictive ranking technology into the review process to cut review costs and time and in organizing and managing review workflow.

A key feature of this new offering is Active Review. Integrated into Catalyst Insight is the technology assisted review engine, Insight Predict, with its unique Continuous Active Learning protocol. With Active Review, the system continuously learns from reviewers’ judgments and actively selects the best documents to move the review forward. Review and TAR work hand-in-hand, speeding the review and lowering costs.

Named to lead Catalyst’s managed review team is Adam Tondryk, who came to Catalyst after serving as director of managed review at Managed Discovery and as project director at both Advanced Discovery and Axiom. Tondryk formerly practiced law as a litigation associate and is a 2001 graduate of the University of California, Hastings College of the Law. He has nearly 10 years’ experience developing best practices for QC and workflow.
