Improved Features to Facilitate Collaboration and Improve Productivity

Veritext, the world’s largest court reporting company, today released its latest version of LawStudio, a secure cloud-based collaboration platform and online workspace.

The latest version includes improved security features, tighter integration with Microsoft® Office and new time-saving aspects. When e-discovery is complete, LawStudio allows users to organize and manage all case materials, including case documents, transcripts, exhibits, video testimony and more. 

LawStudio has a robust set of tools to facilitate the identification and tracking of pertinent evidence such as issues, facts and testimony. It also allows users to collaborate and securely share documents with their litigation team, clients, experts and outside counsel. 

“LawStudio is particularly effective as a tool for firms that practice in areas with document-intensive cases, multiparty litigation, and those required to comply with HIPAA/Privacy/PII,” says Mike Murray, director of Client Solutions at LawStudio. “The platform allows these firms to work smarter, especially after e-discovery has been completed, with collaboration tools for use by all parties; annotation, search and reporting tools; and fully compliant security. It also helps attorneys prepare for more effective direct and cross-examination in trials because their entire case is accessible and searchable in LawStudio, enabling them to quickly identify nuances of key testimony.” 

The new features in the latest release of LawStudio include:

• Secure file transfers: LawStudio allows users to save documents and create a unique, password-protected URL for them to share with other parties.
• Drop Folder: Request a file from a client and have it automatically loaded into your case in LawStudio. The Drop Folder feature is as easy to use as attaching a file to an email, but it is secure.
• Tighter integration with Microsoft Office: Edit and save Office files right in LawStudio. LawStudio offers version tracking so you can reference previous versions of documents, if needed.
• Document preview pane: Review documents and add comments, right from the preview pane.
