Enhanced Search and Case Chronology Tools Added to Opus 2 Magnum

As innovation in the legal technology space continues to surge, Opus 2 International – a worldwide litigation services and software development company – continues to revolutionize transcript management and case analysis technology with its flagship cloud collaboration platform, Opus 2 Magnum.

Opus 2’s technology is at the forefront of paperless initiatives and electronic hearing rooms worldwide, and its latest software enhancements help US law firms to also digitize their deposition and trial preparation methods.

At ILTACON 2016 – taking place August 28 – September 1 in National Harbor, MD, Opus 2 will showcase the latest additions to its flagship cloud collaboration platform, Opus 2 Magnum. Attendees of the conference will gain firsthand experience with the sixth-generation of Magnum – most notably innovative updates that streamline case analysis and transcript management workflow. They will also see how Opus 2 Magnum enables attorneys to manage work product with ease, empowering law firms to self-manage every case across the enterprise all in a secure, private-cloud platform.

At ILTACON, Opus 2 will highlight several new tools within the Magnum platform including: 

• Query Builder – developed with input from one of the largest global law firms, Query Builder makes it simpler and easier to formulate and modify complex search strings as a case evolves. Ordinarily this is a tedious task for even the most experienced of users, but Query Builder uses a visual user interface to group fields and clauses, generating the search string as it happens.
• Snapshot – recognizing just how much lawyers are pulled in multiple directions, Opus 2 developed a simple time-saving tool that creates a bookmark in a workspace. The last document reviewed will be clearly highlighted when a user logs back on, enabling them to pick up where they left off.
• Enhanced Chronology Tool – from eDiscovery to the courtroom, it is vital to keep the facts straight amid numerous themes and arguments. Now, with Opus 2 Magnum’s enhanced chronology tool, lawyers can create multiple independent chronologies to manage distinct streams of facts within the same shared workspace. This offers case teams a much better view of the most relevant and persuasive evidence and testimony.

In addition to the spotlight on Magnum, Clare Foley, Opus 2’s VP of Litigation Solutions, will be speaking in the From Production to Trial: The Tools We Use and Still Need session taking place August 31. The panel will offer the audience a view into real-life workflows and case management tactics as well as some of the newest technologies used, all from the perspective of the lawyers who use them.
