E-Discovery Day is an industry-wide, vendor neutral celebration of E-Discovery's vital and growing role in the legal process. Events currently scheduled on December 1st include educational webcasts and in-person networking events. As retired United States Magistrate Judge John M. Facciola says, "The 2015 amendments to the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure are generating important and challenging problems that are being resolved by judges and lawyers. The 2015 amendments, like the ones in 2006, were generated by the problems created by E-Discovery and the data crush. Now, a new world is coming with sensors embedded in devices that are yielding a whole new kind of information that will surely be used in litigation. A day devoted to E-Discovery is not merely beneficial, it is required to be a competent lawyer, judge, or legal professional in this brave new world."
United States Chief District Judge Joy Flowers Conti adds, "Electronic discovery is a rapidly changing area of practice. It is important that there be an annual program which focuses on electronic discovery developments and case law within the past year."
Details on each E-Discovery Day webcast and event, including times, descriptions and registration forms, can be found at http://www.e-discoveryday.com.
