Evolve Law, a community of legal entrepreneurs and innovators, has launched the Evolve Law Tech Fellowship, a prestigious four month educational program for in-house counsel and legal operations professionals focused on facilitating the implementation of new technologies.
The program will take place in New York City from February through May 2017.
The inaugural program focuses on document automation and assembly technologies. Fellows will participate in a fast-paced accelerator-style program that includes educational content, product development and design thinking training, product demos, and hands-on implementation support.
“One of the biggest pain points in our community is from in-house attorneys who want to use more technology in their practice but don’t know where to start, and don’t have the time or resources to do the research and implementation on their own,” said Jules Miller, Managing Director of Evolve Law. “The Evolve Law Tech Fellowship provides lawyers with everything they need to know to get document automation software up and running in their companies.”
The program is limited to a maximum of 20 in-house counsel and legal operations professionals, with up to 10 innovative document automation software providers also participating in parts of the program. At the end of the Fellowship, participants will better understand the document automation landscape, have a framework for assessing other technologies, and see tangible results from a pilot project they have implemented during the program.
“Evolve Law launched in 2015 and has become a catalyst for accelerated adoption of legal technology and innovation with a vibrant legal innovation community of over one hundred active members,” said Mary Juetten, Traklight CEO and Managing Director of Evolve Law. “The Evolve Law Tech Fellowship provides a new way to support the community and highlights the growing interest from in-house counsel and legal ops in legal tech.”
