Today, Virginia-based Levit & James, Inc. announced its 30-year anniversary as an innovative software provider to law firms, corporate legal departments and government agencies.
Still owned and run by original founders Fletcher James (President) and Ian Levit (Vice-President of Marketing and Sales), the company has more than 950 customers, including 88 of the top Am Law 100 law firms which use Best Authority®, a Table of Authorities (TOA) production program.
Since its founding in 1987, Levit & James has designed creative software to solve automation and productivity challenges faced by legal professionals. The company’s current flagship product Best Authority leads the TOA market, frequently winning competitive showdowns against LexisNexis and Thomson West offerings. Earlier Levit & James products included Mass Transit, CrossWords, CrossEyes, CrossTown and Stylizer for document conversion, migration, and management. Development is also underway for a new groundbreaking software release from Levit & James, with details to be announced before end of 2017.
