IRIS, one of Europe’s largest specialists in Enterprise Information Management (EIM), today announced that Austrian law firm Graf & Pitkowitz has chosen IRIS to implement an iManage Work solution to manage documentation and emails across the firm.
Established in 1994 and with offices in Vienna and Graz, over 80 employees provide legal services to both domestic and international companies, as well as individuals. As the firm continues to grow, its existing document and email management provision could no longer keep pace with demand. Greater collaboration, multiple locations, increasing case complexity and the growth of digital content were all impacting IT infrastructure.
Nikolaus Pitkowitz, Partner at Graf & Pitkowitz explains the challenges the firm faces, “Structuring and managing digital data, comprising mostly of Microsoft Office documents and emails, has become more and more time consuming. The new iManage Work solution will handle our digital data, providing a consistent, centralized, comprehensive and reliable document management system covering all our unstructured content.” Pitkowitz continues, “We selected IRIS as our implementation partner due to their experienced team and proven track record with iManage in the legal sector. With so many successful implementations completed, we have great confidence in them.”
The firm also faces increasing pressure from regulatory requirements dealing with data protection and secrecy obligations, challenges that IRIS has helped many firms overcome.
“We opted to utilise IRIS FastTrack as the project methodology for the implementation of iManage. This way we benefit from the wealth of experience that IRIS has built up over many years, with the great advantage of a faster deployment,” says Pitkowitz.
Following the FastTrack implementation, the firm will be in a position to explore and expand with the many additional add-on modules available for the solution. This will further protect their investment for years to come.
