Lexpo, Continental Europe’s premier legal innovation event, announces that Douwe Groenevelt, Vice President, Deputy General Counsel & Head of Legal at ASML, will deliver a keynote address at Lexpo’25, taking place on 16-17 June in Amsterdam.
With extensive experience in both private practice and in-house legal leadership, Groenevelt has played a pivotal role in driving legal innovation and AI adoption. At ASML, he spearheaded the integration of generative AI, culminating in the signing of the world’s first 100% GenAI-generated contract in 2023. Under his leadership, ASML’s legal department was recognized among the Top 10 most innovative legal teams by the Financial Times in 2024.
Beyond his work at ASML, Groenevelt is a co-founder of Law & Ops, a platform dedicated to advancing legal operations in the Netherlands. Before moving in-house, he spent a decade at De Brauw Blackstone Westbroek as a technology lawyer and resident partner.
