Today, leading legal software and services provider Opus 2 announced that it has achieved a gold medal from EcoVadis, the global standard for business sustainability ratings. EcoVadis evaluates sustainability criteria across four core themes: the environment; labour and human rights; ethics; and sustainable procurement.
Opus 2 now ranks in the top eight percent of all companies assessed and scored 23 percent above the industry average – reflecting the impact of the company’s ongoing investment in sustainability at every level. In the latest assessment completed in December of 2023, Opus 2 improved its scores across all four sustainability categories, elevating the company from a silver to a gold medal.
The EcoVadis assessment evaluates policies, actions, and results for each of the four themes, noting Opus 2’s strengths including employee education and training programs, reduction of waste and energy consumption, and thorough reporting of both Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions.
Greg Blackman, Opus 2 CEO, said, “It’s an honour to receive the EcoVadis Gold medal as a result of our consistent commitment to sustainability. Not only do we prioritise improving sustainability as one of our core company values, but we’re proud to design and build solutions that empower law firms to do the same. From enabling virtual collaboration to creating digital processes that cut down on paper use, it all makes a difference. I’m excited to continue this work, and I’m proud of the entire Opus 2 team that made this recognition possible.”
