laWow, the world’s first lawsuit search engine, is pleased to announce that it has closed an initial funding round of $1.75 million dollars. The funding round was led by Dant Ventures.
The platform was created to deliver instant free access to the full content of lawsuits, and legal claims. It was designed to include search words and/or phrases and find results based on a crowdsourced search. laWow aims to be a comprehensive and unbiased source for journalists, VC firms’ researchers, employees, stock investors, and anyone else seeking an unaltered source of information without commentary or opinion.
"We are thrilled to have the opportunity to further scale laWow through this funding round,” said Kaylee Zhu, founder, and CEO of laWow. "The next step for laWow is to significantly grow our infrastructure and our team of developers.”
Lawsuit filings are presented on laWow in a synopsis format of the complaint as well as a PDF of the full lawsuit. Prior to laWow, the public had to pay a fee to order lawsuits with frequent extended waiting periods. Users can search topics like celebrities, sports, stocks, and politics to name a few.
