RenewData, a full-service eDiscovery provider that offers the industry’s broadest spectrum of review acceleration solutions, including its own proprietary Language-Based Analytics, today announced that its Chief Scientist Andrew Kraftsow will discuss a viable and defensible alternative to predictive coding during a May 14 invitation-only luncheon focused on general counsel and corporate attorneys at leading organizations.
The event, titled “An Alternative to Predictive Coding: Results without the Risk,” also includes speakers Mandi Ross of Prism Litigation Technology and an attorney from an AmLaw 100 firm and is scheduled for May 14 at 11:30 a.m. CT in Chicago.
The discussion will revolve around reducing the cost of eDiscovery and what technology can do to get through large amounts of data quickly, transparently and defensibly with Language-Based Analytics as the alternative to predictive coding.
“Many legal departments and law firms are struggling with the complexities of predictive coding, especially when it comes to defensibility. Language-Based Analytics, which relies on human understanding of content as opposed to artificial intelligence, is a proven, defensible and cost-saving alternative to accelerate eDiscovery document review,” stated Kraftsow.
Each speaker will discuss his or her experience with Language-Based Analytics. Kraftsow will explain how Language-Based Analytics was developed and how it works and provides cross-document knowledge extraction, transparency in coding decisions, auditability and reusability that are unmatched by artificial intelligence techniques. An attorney with an AmLaw 100 firm will share how Language-Based Analytics delivered significant cost and time savings for the firm’s matters. Mandi Ross, CEO and eDiscovery Consultant with Prism Litigation Technology, will discuss how to prepare for eDiscovery review and what business and case factors to look for when considering a Language-Based Analytics solution.
