Certification Ensures Comprehensive Security of Clients’ Archive and eDiscovery Data

RenewData, a full-service eDiscovery provider that offers the industry’s broadest spectrum of review acceleration solutions, today announced that the company has successfully completed its latest ISO 27001 recertification audit and has met the criteria to certify for the next three years.

ISO 27001, an international standard for information security management, is earned only after rigorous independent assessments which evaluate the security controls that manage physical and electronic materials. These third-party audits are meant to ensure the highest level of security for confidential data.

RenewData chose the ISO 27001 standard specifically due to its holistic look at security across the entire organization. It enables the company to assure the controls surrounding the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of client data throughout the full lifecycle of the eDiscovery process from data extraction to processing to data hosting. The certification also applies to the company’s patented and patent-pending proprietary solutions such as Language-Based Analytics and data archiving.

The ISO 27001 certification is an internationally recognized standard that specifies optimal controls and best practices for the security of corporate information management systems and processes. This includes requirements for the establishment, implementation, monitoring and review, maintenance and improvement of a management system. In order to be recertified, RenewData underwent in-depth audits to evaluate compliance with the certification’s stringent standards. The company also participates in annual surveillance audits between recertification periods which also ensure compliance.
