October client conference to focus on integration, innovation, and best practices
CPA Global, the IP technology and services leader, has announced details of its eagerly awaited 2013 conference, which will provide unique IP management insights from senior industry figures as well as a series of high-level workshops focused on integration and innovation.
The 2013 CPA Global Conference is scheduled for October 27-30 at the Paradise Point Resort & Spa in San Diego.
This year’s conference theme: “Eureka!” is a nod to California’s motto and gold rush history and is also indicative of the “aha” moments of discovery the conference is designed to evoke for attendees.
The conference agenda, comprising more than 80 educational sessions and over 50 workshops and training sessions, has been developed in conjunction with an advisory board of senior IP professionals, all of whom are CPA Global clients. Each of the Company’s IP management software solutions - FoundationIP, Inprotech, Ipendo and Memotech - has a dedicated track of courses relevant to its own users. Attendees will also receive CPA Global business and technology updates from Chief Executive Officer Peter Sewell and Chief Technology Officer Mark Holt, and will have abundant opportunities to network.
Special features this year include a bootcamp for new users and an inaugural track for Ipendo, CPA Global’s collaboration and communication offering for corporate IP departments. In addition, user panel discussions and further information on system integration will be available for the Company’s full spectrum of technology, including the Discover patent search platform as well as the Electronic File Room IP management system from First To File (the company acquired by CPA Global in February 2013).
“The CPA Global Conference is now well established as an industry leading forum,” said Peter Sewell, Chief Executive Officer of CPA Global. “The San Diego event will bring together IP professionals to learn about breakthroughs in software development, to hear real-life user experiences and best practices from their peers, and to expand their industry networks. Our advisory board of CPA Global clients has worked diligently alongside our conference team to develop what will undoubtedly be an informative, insightful and highly productive event for all attendees.”
Andrea Ryan, Global Head of Patent Administration and Support at Sanofi, is a CPA Global client who has been instrumental in helping to plan the San Diego conference. Ryan remarks, “The CPA Global Conference is always a must-attend event for me. Much of the knowledge shared is directly from CPA Global clients that are using the various software solutions on a daily basis, so the content is both relevant and practical. Sanofi uses Memotech IP lifecycle management software and the conference enables me to learn useful new tips and ideas so we can more effectively leverage the technology. The conference is also a valuable networking opportunity and has led to many new connections for me and my colleagues to discuss best practices.”
