The Association of Certified E-Discovery Specialists today announced the appointment to its Advisory Board of Sunil Mudunuri, senior manager of global marketing and business development for UBIC North America, in San Francisco, and a respected thought leader on international e-discovery issues.
Mr. Mudunuri began his career as a technology innovator in an engineering role at Quicklogic where he was awarded a patent for a first-of-its-kind embedded SerDes processor. At UBIC, he leads the company’s strategic and corporate marketing Internationally/ globally, managing geographically diverse, cross-functional teams in delivering efficient solutions to market on schedule.
He is an active participant in leading e-discovery organizations and think tanks such as The Sedona Conference Working Group VI, which helps develop guidelines and best practices for cross-border eDiscovery and international data privacy.
Prior to joining UBIC, Mr. Mudunuri held several management roles in prominent technology companies like MIPS and Zenasis, where he successfully re-launched product lines and established lucrative channel partnerships. He has extensive experience in establishing marketing programs and alliances in both private and public companies.

ACEDS Advisory Board includes diverse group of seasoned experts. Mr. Mudunuri joins a distinguished group of experts on the ACEDS Advisory Board who hold a variety of positions in the widespread eDiscovery terrain. They include a former president of the American Bar Association, a former Chief Justice of the Florida Supreme Court, a member of the Federal Civil Rules Advisory Committee, and the co-founders of ALSP.
The ACEDS Advisory Board is led by Chairman Alvin Lindsay, a partner at Hogan Lovells in Miami. Other members include John Barkett, partner at Shook, Hardy & Bacon and past chair of the ABA’s National E-Discovery Institute; Carnival Corporation General Counsel Arnaldo Perez; James Bickley, Managing Director of E-Discovery at TransPerfect Legal Solutions, and Kimarie Stratos, Senior Vice President and General Counsel of Memorial Healthcare System.
