Law In Order was founded in Sydney in 1999 and by 2004 had introduced electronic services. In 2009, Law In Order was the first to bring Relativity to Asia Pacific and was operating in Brisbane, Melbourne and Perth by 2011. In 2015, the firm expanded its footprint to Asia Pacific, opening an office in Singapore followed swiftly by Hong Kong and India in 2017.
“The opening of our Hong Kong office marked a period of on-going international expansion for Law In Order and allows us to continue to strengthen our service offering in the Asia Pacific region,” Julian McGrath, Managing Director of Law In Order said.
With the introduction of Relativity, Law In Order now provides our Hong Kong clients with a powerful software tool that makes e-discovery more manageable, efficient and insightful bringing the entire process together in a single platform.
Globally, Law In Order has a number of Relativity Certified Administrators including one based in the Hong Kong office as of 19 February 2018. A Certified Administrator is a formal qualification from Relativity that recognises both working experience with the software and structured study.
Law In Order has used Relativity to deliver successful solutions to clients in a number of significant matters. A large client in the energy sector was involved in litigation over an environmental matter with 6.6 million documents to review. De-duplication and using keywords decreased the list to 157,000. By using Relativity for Technology Assisted Review, this was again culled to 5,243 documents at a considerable cost saving to the client.
Law In Order also offers cutting edge solutions in information governance using our advanced e-discovery techniques and the firm’s expert computer forensic team. Globally, the firm has a number of certified professionals in the computer forensic software EnCase.
Law In Order has a leading Courts team that can support clients in every phase of litigation. For cross-jurisdictional matters or those with remote witnesses, Law In Order’s expert eCourts services have proved successful in Royal Commissions and litigation matters of all sizes. Supporting services include project management, electronic hearing books, real-time transcripts as well as court copying and appeal books in any jurisdiction
“With the globalisation of legal services over the past decade, we are looking forward to working with the Hong Kong offices of some of our existing clients as well as getting to know the local firms.
