Logol, an innovative Swiss technology solutions provider, announces that it has partnered with US nonprofit organization One Tree Planted to support reforestation projects worldwide.
The agreement addresses the needs of areas that have been devasted by fire, floods or deforestation. In particular, one tree will be planted for each new individual user activated on ELLE, Logol’s groundbreaking cloud-based management systems for law firms.
“As a radically paperless and plastic-free company of digital-natives, we embrace the vision of digital transformation as a fundamental step towards more environment-friendly businesses,” says Marco Farina, Founder and CEO of Logol. “Sustainability is in our DNA and we are always looking for new ways to reduce our own environmental impact and promote the well-being of our communities. When we realized how much the planting of trees benefits the environment, we immediately decided to join an important international reforestation initiative, also with the idea to build awareness among our clients. Today we help One Tree Planted do what they do best – plant new trees where they are most needed – by doing what we do best – offering the extraordinary benefits of digital transformation and artificial intelligence to the business world.”
“In addition to sequestering carbon to mitigate global warming, trees provide many other benefits for local communities and biodiversity," comments Diana Chaplin, Canopy Director at One Tree Planted. "They help clean the air we breathe and filter the water we drink while supplying key ingredients for many medicines. Reforestation also provides jobs in forest management and nursery production, and is one of the top solutions to the climate crisis. Healthy forests support 80% of the world's terrestrial plant and animal life, and the trees planted as part of this initiative will support the UN's Sustainable Development Goals. Thanks to contributions from both individuals and corporate partners like Logol, One Tree Planted is restoring global landscapes, having planted over 10 million trees in 2020 alone.”
