M&A Law Firm of the Year Schjødt has chosen HighQ Collaborate as its client facing enterprise collaboration platform. The Norwegian firm sought a collaboration system to help deliver its services to clients. Schjødt’s Chief Knowledge Officer Knut-Magnar Aanestad explains, “We are known as a firm that unlocks the knowledge within our network of experts and we offer this knowledge to our clients in a transparent manner."

Knut-Magnar says that Schjødt chose HighQ Collaborate because of “its flexible set-up capabilities, the opportunity to brand our instance, and the easy integration with existing systems. We think there is a lot of potential for the platform and we’re busy working out how we can best use the system to execute the many plans and ideas we have within the firm. It is a tool with lots of possibilities and it’s up to us to exploit them. We are currently working on the implementation process which is running smoothly, and we’ve already branded our system as Schjødt Connect.”
The firm chose Collaborate based not only on the ease of set up but also on HighQ’s business model. Knut-Magnar explains, “The trust and confidence HighQ has in their products shines through and made them stand out above other vendors. They are innovative and receptive to client feedback and requests for change, which is very important to us.”
Over the last few years, Schjødt has invested heavily in IT and knowledge management. Knut-Magnar clarifies, “it is important to us to lead in our respective fields and be ahead of development instead of following the crowd. Everyone in the firm is open and eager to explore how innovation can drive better results and our investments in technology, including HighQ Collaborate, will help us with our business development plan.”
Initially, Schjødt plans to use HighQ Collaborate to connect with clients, collaborate on documents and manage projects, but the firm is analysing ways in which it can use the platform to productise its services, and as a means to explore more value based pricing models.
Knut-Magnar reports that so far the platform has been a success. “We’ve only had the system for a week, but we’ve set up five sites already and have had excellent feedback from our users. HighQ Collaborate is efficient and easy to use, and it looks like it’s going to be a big success for us.”
