Rekoop signs-up France's largest native law firm Gide Loyrette Nouel

Following on from its sustained success within both the UK top and mid-tiers, time capture specialist continues its success in Europe and has now announced the signing of France’s largest native law firm, Gide Loyrette Nouel. The deployment will be another EU leader, extending to over 500 lawyers across six global regions.

The project will see the roll-out of Desktop, the primary time recording interface; Digital Footprint, which monitors activity in the background and helps construct timesheets automatically; Mobile to support Gide’s iOS estate; and Analyse, which allows the instant sharing of real-time performance data and time/cost intelligence. Rekoop will integrate with an Elite PMS.

Laurent Viel, Gide’s CIO, comments: “In Rekoop we have a next-generation time recording system that can deliver for both fee earners and for the wider practice. Our lawyers want tools that are better geared to how they work today so there’s a lot of emphasis on mobile time recording and supporting our investment in iOS. But the firm also needs to go beyond just facilitating the accurate capture of time data; we have to take that data, mine it and make it meaningful to our business. We want to understand our cost base much better and the insight that Rekoop provides is the first critical step in the process.”

There’s the recurring driver – knowing your costs – that is already familiar to us from the UK top and mid-tiers and this, coupled with the more customary push for the latest tech, is starting to energise the European market.”
