Using IntApp Wall Builder and Matter Team Manager

IntApp, Inc., provider of the most-adopted information barrier and information security software for law firms, today announced that the 2012 British Legal Award for "Best Use of Technology" has been awarded to Linklaters, a leading global law firm serving the world’s largest companies, financial institutions and governments.

Linklaters received the prestigious award for its implementation of IntApp Wall Builder, a software product that enables the firm to centrally manage information security across its global document management and time recording systems.

Wall Builder is a web-based information barrier and security management software application that enables organisations to centrally control, monitor and report on user access permissions across multiple applications, including document management, cloud collaboration, accounting, portal, CRM, time entry and records management systems. It also automates notifications to individuals subject to specific policies and tracks acknowledgments for compliance purposes. 

Wall Builder is the most-adopted information barrier software product by law firms with 150 or more lawyers. According to an independent survey by the International Legal Technology Association (ILTA) of its membership, 72% of large firms using commercial software to enforce information barriers use IntApp Wall Builder. Today, law firms use Wall Builder to manage information security and access controls for over 2 billion documents globally.

In addition to the core Wall Builder application, Linklaters uses IntApp Matter Team Manager to delegate administration of matter team composition across practices, granting designated lawyers the ability to update access controls as team membership changes. This facilitates secure collaboration on complex matters, staffed across multiple offices and geographies, and gives individuals managing matters complete control over team access permissions.
