Threads Software has today announced that Leeds law firm Winston Solicitors has adopted its Intelligent Message Hub to capture telephone calls and call transcriptions.
It is a move that, says Winston Solicitors, will help its lawyers continue to deliver first-class client service whilst providing peace of mind that all client conversations are captured in their entirety.
Threads provide a seamless way to capture critical client communications including, and importantly, client telephone conversations. Its Intelligent Message Hub, adopted by over 500 businesses worldwide, works seamlessly with the firm’s telephony system and its case-management system.
Winston Solicitors Practice Manager Camilla Asher said: “To help our lawyers better manage their time, to improve client service and to keep fees competitive, we wanted to capture telephone communications in one place that includes an AI-generated summary. Threads Intelligent Message Hub provides that solution.”
John Yardley, the founder and Managing Director of Threads said: “We are thrilled to be working with Winston Solicitors. We have worked closely with the firm to ensure Threads fully integrates with its case management and telephone systems. All calls are recorded and transcripts can be requested at a touch of a button.”
Whilst telephone service providers have long been able to provide recordings of incoming and outgoing calls, recording quality has not been sufficient for speech recognition software to provide accurate written transcripts.
Threads taps directly into the open-source FreePBX exchange increasingly used by VOIP telephony capturing high-quality audio recordings of all Winston Solicitors calls, with calls transcribed by Speechmatics.
Yardley adds: “Threads is used daily by over 500 companies worldwide, but Winston Solicitors is the first law firm to adopt our unique technology platform. That is why we have invested heavily and worked closely with the firm, its partners and management team to deliver a software solution that provides a simple, accurate platform for all its client communications.”
The impact has been immediately felt.
Teresa Davidson, Partner and Head of Family at Winston Solicitors said: “It has removed the time lost to capturing call information for client file notes and more accurately reflects the often-nuanced conversations we have with clients.
“We no longer need to double-up on client calls, with assistants joining a call where there is a real benefit and purpose. Above all, there is a comfort factor that client calls are being accurately captured. Put simply, it is making our lives easier.”
Threads is available on a monthly subscription based on the cost of storage and transcription costs.
In an example month, the team at Winston Solicitors made 4,736 calls totalling 268 hours. 1,761 calls were transcribed, running to 121 hours, at a total cost to the firm of £463.
