BigHand, a leading productivity software provider to the legal market and Kingsley Napley, a progressive top 100 UK legal firm, today share details of the firm’s BigHand Speech Recognition roll out.
The firm, which has been benefiting from BigHand’s Digital Dictation since 2004 and mobility application, BigHand Go since 2012, decided to further strengthen the relationship by implementing BigHand Speech Recognition in 2015. The main drivers behind the project included an increased focus on efficiency and the need to deploy their highly skilled workforce more effectively.
The firm adopted a phased roll out of the BigHand Speech Recognition module following a successful pilot programme across 10 users lasting 8 weeks. Thereza Snyman, Head of IT at the firm comments: “We’re seeing a real cultural change amongst the team. The demand for mobility has increased exponentially in the last 12 – 18 months and there’s a desire to be able to do anything from anywhere in order to be more agile in responding to clients’ expectations.”
The full case study, which is available here outlines the key successes of the project including:
Looking to the future, the firm is already looking to extend the relationship with BigHand to include BigHand Now, a task delegation solution, having identified up to 40 manual processes that could be digitised to save time and resource. Concurrently with this project, the firm are planning a proof of concept for BigHand Capacity Manager, a solution which will allow them to analyse how effectively they’re deploying their support infrastructure and dynamically reallocate tasks to where there’s capacity.
Snyman concludes: “I’m happy to share the successes of our latest BigHand Speech Recognition project. I find BigHand’s support excellent; their project management and deployment superb; and their technology always very thoroughly designed and tested. It is certainly a relationship that I value and that I see continuing long into the future.”
