Company executives to join industry thought leaders to discuss technology and trends in corporate legal during ILTA track

Hyperion Global Partners, a premier business and technology consulting practice to the legal profession, announces that company executives are scheduled to speak at LegalTech New York as part of the ILTA “Technology and Trends in Corporate Legal” track.

The presentation will take place in the Mercury Ballroom from 10:30–11:45 on Day Two of the event (January 30, 2013).

Eyal Iffergan, the CEO of HyperionGP, and Ralph Schroeder, managing director of Hyperion Research, a division of HyperionGP, will be joined by Mike Russell, strategic legal technologist at Liberty Mutual Insurance Company, and Rajan Gupta, senior IT manager in corporate legal for Qualcomm, as they discuss issues that general counsel and law department managers face today. Items that will be discussed include:

• Corporate legal department organization and reporting structures;
• Service delivery approaches;
• The latest in service delivery models;
• The use of outside counsel;
• The role of IT and systems in areas such as IP, compliance, contracts, search and legal metrics.

The presentation will also include a discussion on legal operations within a corporate legal department.

Hyperion Research regularly updates its benchmarks and metrics on law department operations. Schroeder adds, “Our research finds that law departments are now actively pursuing new technologies and new ways of working, and this session will present many of our recent findings in a conversation with law department leaders and experts.”

In addition, HyperionGP will be kicking off its Global Thought Leadership Series for 2013 in New York City on Monday, January 28. The goal of these events is to bring together legal technology and practice managers in a roundtable format to discuss timely and compelling topics facing the industry.
