Panelists will share how to reduce risk, as well as streamline and accelerate the redaction process for discovery
DTI, the nation’s largest private independent provider of e-discovery services and managed document review, announced today that it is hosting a panel discussion on best practices for redactions, the process of blocking out sensitive data and information such as Social Security numbers, customer account numbers, dates and names.
The “Redaction Headaches and Solutions” panel will inform law firm and corporate legal attendees how to reduce risk, as well as streamline and accelerate the redaction process while improving accuracy and consistency.
The task of making redactions during attorney review can be time consuming, labor intensive and error prone, but getting them right is important. Missed redactions have the potential to expose sensitive information and they can also lead to sanctions.
This year’s ACEDS 3rd Annual E-Discovery Conference and Exhibition will be held at the Westin Diplomat in Hollywood Florida. The panel will take place on Thursday, February 28, 2013 from 8 am - 9 am EST. Panelists include Vincent Catanzaro, Esq., Senior Counsel, Global Discovery Manager for E.I. DuPoint de Nemours and Company, Inc.; Cliff Nichols, Esq., e-Discovery Counsel for Day Pitney LLP; Samantha Green, Esq., e-Discovery Counsel for DTI; Martin Mayne, Esq. Project Manager for Providus, A DTI Company; and the panel will be moderated by Jeff Jacobs, Esq., Associate General Counsel at DTI.
