Face-to-Face Legal Consultations Virtually Anywhere
LawZam, a free online videoconference service connecting legal consumers and lawyers, announces the release of its new mobile application enabling face-to-face legal consultations on the iPhone and iPad. The app enables people to browse attorney profiles, ask legal questions, and videoconference with attorneys over 3G, 4G and Wi-Fi networks.
"There's a paradigm shift happening in the legal profession where technology is increasing access to legal information,” says LawZam co-founder Claudio Dunkelman. “We are now in a world where people can consult by videoconference with attorneys on their mobile devices for free, virtually anywhere," says Dunkelman.
The app gives attorneys the ability to respond to legal questions posted by prospective clients, and the ability to develop new client relationships in videoconferences. According to the Wall Street Journal, lawyers can “piggyback on the marketing power of online brands such as LawZam.” The network enables attorneys to generate online leads without investing in web development or search engine optimization.
LawZam is free for both legal consumers and attorneys. Lawyers using the platform agree not to charge prospective clients for the initial consultations. If the legal consumer and attorney are a match, LawZam does not become involved in the attorney-client relationship or client fees. LawZam plans to monetize through advertising as the platform scales.
