Conference, Organized by ILTA, to Focus on Secure Practices in the Legal Environment
Biscom, provider of the legal industry’s most trusted document exchange technology, today announced that it will be exhibiting at the LegalSEC Summit, the International Legal Technology Association’s (ILTA) inaugural conference focused on security awareness in law firms and law departments.
Scheduled for June 13 in Lombard, Ill., the summit will welcome legal technology professionals from across the nation and focus on programming covering awareness policies, regulations, standards and incident response. Events will kick off with a keynote presentation on cybercrime and legal security by FBI Special Agent Eric Brelsford.
“Today’s legal organization faces a myriad of security challenges – including BYOD and hackers – that can leave it vulnerable to data breaches and related threats,” says Charles Magliato, Legal Program Director for Biscom. “Biscom believes strongly that every precaution should be taken to protect legal organizations from unsecured communications such as emails, faxes or FTP transmissions that can leave them open to unauthorized access.”
The educational program for the summit has been developed in conjunction with security professionals and members of the two ILTA peer groups - Server Operations and Security and Risk and Records Management.
